We believe great design adapts to the evolving needs of its occupants, never the other way around. Maple is a manifestation of this sentiment. Nestled in a highly sought-after pocket of Hawthorn, this collection of 51 modern apartments presents a variety of housing options, tailored to accommodate a diverse range of households. The architecture on the lower levels is defined by fine bronze sliding screens with the ability to provide privacy and filtered light, or open the homes up to impressive city views. Facilitating the warmest of welcomes home, we designed a truly unique and memorable lobby experience complete with a black steel frame door and Palladiana terrazzo floors – equal parts beautiful and functional. The project’s landscape design takes cues from traditional Japanese gardens, featuring a large maple tree on level three which of course became the hero of the project, inspiring its name.
