Nestled between the beach and vibrant Ormond Road Village, Pine Ave presents eight townhouses on the golden mile of Elwood. The building is a modern interpretation of the suburb’s iconic Art Deco architecture, exhibiting a classic curved form and white brick materiality. During the conception phase, we handpicked collaborators with experience working in the hotel and hospitality industries in order to invite new ideas. This deliberate choice led to a reimagining of the traditional townhouse typology into a collection of functional, resort-style retreats. The homes are appointed with one-of-a-kind pieces sourced from some of the world’s finest artisans: copper outdoor showers from Mon Palmer in Perth, entry mosaic numbers from a one-man-band in Byron Bay, IN-TERIA handles from Tasmania and Light & Ladder hooks all the way from Brooklyn, amongst others. Each townhouse features cross-flow ventilation to maximise the sea breeze while enhancing the calming, coastal-chic energy of the development.
